Seb's take

Seb Silverback

GG#4 Original Glue crossed with Ruderalis, trading a touch of her father's potency for speed. Fresh and piney up front, earthy with coffee and mocha notes beneath, finishing on a pungently sour aftertaste that does not travel discreetly.

Where it comes from

GG#4 Original Glue crossed with ruderalis, the autoflowering counterpart to the feminised Vision Gorilla, and a fair trade of a little of the father's potency for the convenience of speed. The result is a balanced 50/50 that flowers on its own schedule while keeping Original Glue's resinous character. Vision Seeds have taken a heavyweight parent and made it approachable; the pedigree is honest even where the mother's ruderalis side keeps things brief.

Nose & flavour

Fresh and piney at first draw, then earthy underneath, with unexpected notes of coffee and mocha rounding it out. Do not be lulled by the pleasant middle, though; she finishes on a pungently sour aftertaste that does not travel discreetly. A nose of two moods, the inviting and the sharp, and all the more memorable for refusing to stay sweet.

The high

At 23% THC she keeps most of her father's punch despite the ruderalis in her, so treat her with the respect the figure deserves. Setting the write-up's therapeutic claims aside, the effect is a strong, balanced one in keeping with a 50/50 hybrid, weighty without being wholly sedating. Potent company, and quicker to the table than her photoperiod sister.

Growing it

An autoflower, and easier for it; she needs no light change to begin flowering, which finishes in around 63 days. Yields run a modest 250 to 450 g/m², the price paid for the speed and the automatic habit. Height goes unrecorded, so no figure from me. Forgiving of enthusiasm and quick to crop, she suits a grower who wants Original Glue's weight of resin without the wait a full photoperiod plant demands. Straightforward, sturdy and prompt.
