Where it comes from
The same three-way cross of Big Bud, Skunk and White Widow, with a sprinkle of ruderalis added to grant it autoflowering ability. Green House Seeds started with the high-yielding Big Bud, layered in the potent White Widow and a classic Skunk, and finished with the ruderalis touch that frees the plant from the light schedule. An 80 per cent indica whose outstanding character is, given that pedigree, entirely unsurprising.
Nose & flavour
Sweet and sour lead the nose, with a spiced undertone threading beneath them to give the aroma some length. It is a livelier profile than the parent line's, the sourness cutting through the sweetness and the spice keeping it interesting. A pleasant, rounded scent from buds that look every bit as good as they smell.
The high
The effect settles calm, relaxed and ready for sleep, the indica heritage very much in charge of proceedings. It is a measured, quietening high rather than an energetic one, easing the body down toward the end of the day without any drama in the descent. Good company for the evening, and disinclined to keep you upright past your bedtime.
Growing it
An autoflower with a slower turn than most, taking 77 days to finish, so a little patience is asked of the grower. The record gives no height, but the plants develop large, rocket-shaped buds tipped with orange and rust pistils and coated in a thick, sparkling layer of trichomes, the whole plant looking as though it has been dusted with tiny diamonds. The yield is heavy at 800 g/m², and THC runs 14 to 18 per cent. A striking plant that trades a longer wait for real weight and frost.
