How to grow Speed Haze
Taste
Seb's take
Super Silver Haze and Jack Herer, and the Haze side wins the argument on the nose - pungent, peppery, and piney in a combination that rewards a proper sniff. The high follows suit: uplifting, euphoric, energetic. A haze in character as much as in name.
Where it comes from
Super Silver Haze crossed with Jack Herer by Blackskull Seeds - two of the most decorated Haze-leaning names in the book, folded into an eighty-per-cent sativa. The record is clear that the Haze genetics dominate the character, particularly on the nose. Both parents carry serious pedigree, and the offspring inherits the sativa reach and the peppery-pine signature that runs through the whole Haze family. A haze in temperament as much as in name.
Nose & flavour
Pungent, peppery and piney - the classic Haze combination, and the record credits the Haze genetics squarely for it. A sharp, resinous, herbal nose that rewards a proper sniff before the grinder. This one does not travel discreetly, so plan the ventilation accordingly. Distinctly of its lineage, and one of the more characterful noses in the sativa cabinet.
The high
Eighteen to twenty-two per cent THC behind an uplifting, euphoric and energetic high - the sativa dominance in full voice. A bright, forward experience that suits the day and the doing rather than the evening and the sitting. Clear in direction and lively throughout. The Haze character shows in the head as plainly as in the nose; expect momentum rather than weight.
Growing it
Reasonably quick for a Haze-leaning plant - fifty-six to sixty-three days - at a medium 100 to 140cm, so she stays more manageable than her sativa heritage might threaten. Yields settle at 450 g/m². The pungency argues for a filter and some thought about placement. Otherwise a straightforward sativa to run: give her a full window and decent light and the Haze character comes through cleanly. A tidy plant for a loud smoke.
