Seb Silverback

The photoperiod original behind the Rucu Cucu Auto — Tangie crossed with an OG Kush clone, sour and citrus-fruity on the nose. At 30% THC, this is very much a sipping strain, not a session one, though the effect settles into relaxed, happy calm rather than anything alarming. Heavy-yielding, and quick about it.

Where it comes from

Tangie crossed with an original OG Kush clone, Seedstockers' pairing of two heavyweights with little in common but their reputations. Tangie brings the citrus and the sativa lift; the OG Kush clone the depth, the resin and the sheer punch. The result is a sativa-dominant plant with a terpene profile the breeder is at pains to call unusual, and effects, by their own admission, not made for everybody. A characterful cross, and an emphatic one.

Nose & flavour

Sour and citrus-forward, with a fruity sweetness beneath, the Tangie half doing most of the talking, all zest and peel. It is a bright, tangy nose with genuine character, lifted well clear of the OG's heavier register. Distinctive, and not easily mistaken for anything else in the room. The sort that lingers pleasantly.

The high

At 30% THC, this is decidedly the deep end. The effect settles into relaxed, happy calm rather than anything frantic, but the strength behind it is not to be waved off, approach as you would a staircase in the dark. A sipping strain, not a session one, and by the breeder's own warning, not made for every constitution.

Growing it

Quick and generous both. Flowering wraps in a short 49 to 56 days, and the breeder promises a heavy harvest for the speed, a genuinely productive plant on a fast turnaround. The record is light on precise dimensions, so I will not invent them, but the combination of a short flower and a big yield is a rare and welcome one. At 30% THC, the quality matches the quantity. A rewarding grow, provided you respect what comes off it.
