Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Rosetta crossed with Black Domina, a pairing bred deliberately to cancel out each parent's excesses — calming without couch-lock, uplifting without the racing heart. Pungent and resilient on the nose and in growth alike, at 14-19% THC. Forgiving of enthusiasm, and happy in a tight corner or a wide field.

Where it comes from

Hero Seeds crossed Rosetta with Black Domina for this one, and the record is unusually clear about the intent: the 60% sativa to 40% indica split was chosen so each parent would cancel the other's excesses. Black Domina, a heavy indica of some repute, supplies the calming body; Rosetta the brighter, sativa lift. The aim was balance rather than dominance in either direction — a deliberately even-handed plant, resilient and vigorous in growth, by the breeder's own account.

Nose & flavour

The record notes a strong, pungent aroma but stops short of itemising it, so I will do the same rather than invent specific notes. Pungent and assertive is the whole of what is stated — a loud plant at the nose, in keeping with its resilient, vigorous character. Take the strength of the smell as read, and the precise profile as unrecorded; there is no honest way to fill that gap.

The high

This is where the balance pays off. The indica side keeps it calming and relaxing without tipping into couch-lock, while the sativa side lifts and enlivens without turning racy or heady — each holding the other in check. The result is an even, agreeable middle at 14–19% THC: settled but not sunk, bright but not frantic. A well-mannered sort of high, deliberately so.

Growing it

No flowering time or height is recorded, so I will describe her temperament instead. She is easy to grow — the record recommends her to beginners and professionals alike — and adaptable, performing indoors or out and content even in the tightest of spaces. The yield is a medium 200 to 250g per plant. So a forgiving, compact-friendly plant that asks little and adapts readily, at 14–19% THC. One for a small room or a first attempt as much as an experienced hand.
