How to grow Rocklock
Taste
Seb's take
Warlock and Rockstar combine true to their names — a couchlock strain built by crossing two heavy indicas, sweet and hashy with a lavender-berry edge. The high begins with a flash of creativity and euphoria before the body settles, and settles, and settles, until you are cozy in blankets and reaching for snacks. The sitting-down sort, at 21% THC, no argument.
Where it comes from
DNA Genetics crossed Warlock with Rockstar for this one, and the name assembles itself neatly from the two — as, the record notes, does the effect. Both parents are heavy indicas, and pairing them produced what DNA cheerfully call an ultimate couchlock strain: 80% indica, built for weight rather than lift. Warlock brings its resinous, hashy character, Rockstar its own indica heft. A cross with a single clear ambition, and no pretence otherwise.
Nose & flavour
The nose is a study in classic flavours: hashy and sweet at its core, with a distinctive lavender note up top and a berry sweetness behind, all carried on a pungent, spiced-herbal base. The record praises how smoothly she burns and how easy she is on the throat — old-school in the best sense. A rounded, resinous, slightly floral profile that rewards a slow smoke.
The high
The effect opens deceptively bright — a rush of creativity and euphoria, the mood plainly lifted — before the body begins to sink, and sink, and sink, past the point of no return the record so vividly describes. You end up cozy in blankets, reaching for snacks, and not needed elsewhere this evening. The sitting-down sort, emphatically, at 21% THC. A dry mouth comes with the territory; keep water to hand.
Growing it
Flowering finishes in a tidy 56 days, and the yield is a generous 500–600 g/m² of sticky, resin-laden flower — she will gum up your scissors, so keep them clean and sharp. No height figure is recorded, so I will not invent one. What the record makes plain is the resin: these are proper old-school, hashy buds that reward careful handling at trim. A productive, undemanding indica that puts its effort into weight and stickiness alike, at 21% THC.
