Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Bubba Kush Pre-98, Jack's Cleaner and Space Queen combine in a frame built like an indica but glazed like a confectioner's window — the resin coating is that thick. Citrus and lemon brighten the earthy, spiced nose; the high is clear-headed and relaxing rather than foggy, creative and tingly at the edges. She will gum up your scissors.

Where it comes from

Three lines meet here, and all bear the Subcool stamp: Bubba Kush from the pre-'98 cut, Jack's Cleaner, and the ever-present Space Queen. Bubba lends the dense indica frame, Jack's Cleaner its sharp citrus and vigour, Space Queen its fruit and hybrid vigour. The record describes a plant built like an indica but glazed in resin like a confectioner's window — the Bubba structure carrying an unusually heavy coat. A characterful three-way cross from a breeder who made a habit of them.

Nose & flavour

Earthy leads, with a sweet, spiced-herbal middle and a bright citrus-lemon lift on top — the Jack's Cleaner side cutting cleanly through the Bubba weight. It is a layered profile, grounded and a little sharp at once, and the lemon keeps it lively where a straight Kush might turn heavy. Fragrant and well balanced, with plenty of that resin carrying the scent.

The high

The effect is clear-headed rather than foggy — mentally relaxing while leaving the head in working order — with a creative, happy lift and a faint tingle at the edges. Uplifted first, easing gently after, but never sinking into a stupor. At 19.5% THC it is substantial without being sedating: a sociable, functional sort of high that settles you without switching you off.

Growing it

Neither height nor a yield figure is recorded, so I will not manufacture them; what the record dwells on is the resin. She carries a coat so heavy it reads like a glass coating over every part of the flower, which means sharp, clean scissors and a steady hand at trim — she will gum up your shears in short order. Flowering runs 55 to 60 days. As a regular seed she throws both sexes, giving a grower material to breed from or select a mother, at 19.5% THC.
