Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Purple Punch and Star Killer, both elite Indica clones, combine for a fast-flowering, high-yielding hybrid of genuinely top-shelf standing. The resinous, multi-coloured buds carry a sweet, spicy aroma that announces itself well before the smoke does. One toke, by most accounts, is enough - approach as you would a staircase in the dark.

Where it comes from

Sweet Seeds crossed two elite Indica clones, Purple Punch and Star Killer, to make this one, both parents chosen for pedigree rather than convenience. Purple Punch lends the fruit and the colour, Star Killer the resin and the weight. An eighty-percent Indica built from top-shelf stock on both sides, and fast-flowering with it, which is not always the way of such heavyweights. A considered pairing.

Nose & flavour

Sweet and spicy with a lemon lift, carried on resinous, multi-coloured buds that catch the eye before the nose. The record reckons the aroma alone will make your nostrils flare, an assertive, appetising profile, sweet at its heart with enough spice to keep it interesting. Handsome and loud in equal measure.

The high

The effect is a heavy one: relaxed and happy, and strong enough that the record warns a single draw may be plenty. A full-body settle that arrives quickly and stays, approach as you would a staircase in the dark, particularly if you are new to it. Comfortable company once you have found your footing.

Growing it

Fifty-six days in flower, genuinely fast for a plant this heavy, and high-yielding with it, 400 to 550 g/m². Height is not recorded, so I'll leave it unstated. THC runs 18 to 22% with 0.5% CBD, over those resinous, multi-coloured buds. Feminized, and an efficient grow: quick, generous and potent, the three not often found together. A rewarding plant for the space.
