Sweet pineapple and fruity candy on the nose; the high is giggly and euphoric, recommended for stress and anxiety more than any dance floor. A gentle, cheerful sort of strain.
Where it comes from
TGA Subcool Seeds chose their parents with real care here, Highland Oaxacan Gold, a Mexican landrace legend and a seventies bestseller, crossed with the resinous, flavour-heavy Space Dude. It is old guard meeting new school, the mountain sativa passing its euphoric, giggly character down while Space Dude contributes the candy-fruit palate. At 80 percent sativa the Oaxacan side clearly wins the argument. A thoughtful assembly, and a lineage with genuine provenance rather than marketing.
Nose & flavour
The nose is sweet and fruity, with pineapple leading, the candy character the record credits to Space Dude, reminiscent of fruit sweets more than fresh fruit. It is a bright, cheerful aroma with none of the diesel heaviness the sativa lineage might otherwise carry. Easy to like, and true to the tropical impression the name sets up.
The high
Joy and euphoria are the two ingredients the record leans on, and the effect bears it out, giggly, uplifting, and cheerfully euphoric, the sort that turns an ordinary afternoon lighter. The 80 percent sativa keeps things heady and bright rather than sinking, at a gentle 15.5 percent THC. A good-natured strain, and honest about being one.
