Seb's take

Seb Silverback

White Widow crossed back through Brazilian Sativa and Kerala lines for an intense floral aroma that opens onto a woodier, sweeter palate beneath — pine and earth close behind. The high arrives with proper force, lifting the spirit and stimulating mind and body before settling into a divine relaxation. A staircase in the dark, best approached accordingly.

Where it comes from

Paradise Seeds crossed White Widow back through Brazilian Sativa and Kerala lines to produce this inbred line, a 50 percent indica, 50 percent sativa balance. The Brazilian and South Indian sativa material sits behind the familiar White Widow resin, and the IBL designation tells you this is a stabilised, worked line rather than a casual cross. A considered piece of breeding, tracing the Widow's character back through two of its landrace roots and fixing the result.

Nose & flavour

An intense and pleasant floral aroma opens proceedings, the mouth-opener for a woodier, sweeter palate beneath, with pine and earthy, woody hints close behind. It moves from the bright floral top down into something rounder and more grounded on the exhale. A layered, well-balanced nose that shows both sides of the fifty-fifty genetics rather than favouring one. Handsome and characterful throughout.

The high

Powerful when it hits, immediately lifting the spirit and setting the mood bright, then stimulating mind and body before settling into a divine relaxation. It is a two-part effect, the sativa lift arriving first and the indica calm following. Given the force with which it arrives, approach it as you would a staircase in the dark, one measured step at a time. A complete, well-rounded high with real weight behind it.

Growing it

A feminized inbred line with genetics of 50 percent indica, 50 percent sativa, and THC of 18 to 22 percent. She flowers in 60 days and returns a solid 500 g/m². The record gives no height, so I will not conjure one. Being an IBL, her chief virtue to a grower is stability, the confidence that seeds will run true and behave consistently. Grow her for reliability and a balanced result rather than for surprises; she is the dependable end of the White Widow family.
