A Tangie mother self-crossed into Orange Juice, sweet and citrus with a candied orange edge, earthy and minted underneath. The high arrives fast, tips briefly into a disorienting daze, then clears into a focused, tingly, uplifted happiness that settles for hours. As breakfast drinks go, this one keeps you up rather later.
Where it comes from
Dinafem made Orange Juice by self-crossing a Tangie mother, a refined, sativa-dominant line distilled rather than blended. The result is a strain with a sweet, almost candied orange character and the clean genetics that single-parent breeding can lend. There is no complicated family tree to recount, only Tangie doubled down upon, and the concentration shows in the clarity of both flavour and effect. A focused piece of breeding, in every sense of the word.
Nose & flavour
Sweet and citrus to lead, a candied orange, true to the name, with an earthy base and, unusually, a note of mint lifting the finish. It reads bright and confectionary at the top, grounded underneath, the mint giving it a cool edge you do not often meet in a citrus strain. A vivid, appetising nose that lives up to its breakfast namesake, if rather more potent.
The high
Quick off the mark. The record describes a fast onset that tips briefly into a slightly disorienting daze, before clearing into a focused, cerebral high that settles in for hours, tingly, uplifted and happy, with creativity to spare. At 19% THC it is potent enough to earn that opening jolt. As breakfast drinks go, this one keeps you up rather later than the original. Ride out the first minute and it rewards the patience.
