How to grow Old Afghani
Seb's take
Straight Afghani Indica stock, the sort of foundational genetics other strains borrow from rather than the other way round. Thick, dense buds and an easy, forgiving grow — compact indoors at 60 to 90cm, considerably more ambitious once let loose outdoors. Honest about what it is, and no worse for it.
Growing Old Afghani: what to expect
Regular seeds — males and females in the packet, as nature intended and breeders prefer. You'll be sexing plants around the flip, so know what you're looking for before it matters.
Flowering runs the standard 8 weeks — no surprises, which in this business is a compliment. The flowering stage guide covers what each of those weeks should look like.
She stays under the metre mark — tent-friendly, discreet, and unbothered by low ceilings. Run the numbers on the light planner and she'll fit wherever you put her.
A solid, dependable yield — 450 – 550 g/m² under decent conditions. Nothing that requires bragging; everything that justifies the effort. The yield lesson covers getting to "decent conditions".
