Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Kosher Kush's potency meets Strawberry Banana's fruit in this indica-leaning cross — berry, fruit and sweetness on the nose, no surprises there. The high settles into euphoria and relaxation before sleep takes over, a proper evening strain. Compact and hardy, equally at home indoors or out.

Where it comes from

DNA Genetics combined the potency and yield of Kosher Kush with the taste and aroma of Strawberry Banana, and the record is candid about the aim: a medium plant that finishes quickly and hands over a decent return of potent, tasty flower. It comes out indica-dominant at sixty per cent, the Kush backbone carrying the Strawberry Banana fruit. A feminized hybrid with two well-known parents and a clear brief, well executed.

Nose & flavour

Berry, fruit and sweetness lead, the Strawberry Banana heritage plain and pleasant on the nose. No surprises here, and none wanted: the fruit is clean and forward, the sweetness rounding it out. The Kush side sits underneath rather than over the top. A straightforward, likeable profile that does exactly what the parentage promises.

The high

The effect settles into euphoria and full-body relaxation before sleep takes over, a proper evening companion. It is the sitting-down sort, the sixty per cent indica showing itself clearly as the experience deepens toward rest. The record notes samples testing well above twenty per cent and as high as thirty, so treat the strength with respect. Company for the end of the day rather than the middle of it.

Growing it

She finishes in around 63 days, or nine to ten weeks, staying compact with good resistance to the elements, which makes her comfortable indoors or out. The buds come mint green, small to medium, dense and hard, threaded with bright orange hairs. Yields land at 450 to 500 g/m². Outdoors she wraps up by the middle of October. A hardy, tidy plant that copes with variable conditions without complaint. Standard care sees her through to a firm, colourful harvest.
