Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Mimosa and Orangeade Auto combine for a citrus hit that does exactly what the name promises. Orange and diesel sit together on the nose, an odd pairing that somehow works; the high runs uplifting, happy and energetic, sharp rather than soft. Compact and autoflowering, with resin to spare.

Where it comes from

Royal Queen Seeds crossed Mimosa with Orangeade Auto to fold the citrus line into an autoflowering frame. The Mimosa side brings the flavour the name trades on; Orangeade Auto brings the timeline and the compact habit. The result runs sativa-dominant despite its autoflowering roots, keeping the head bright rather than heavy. A feminized auto built to deliver photoperiod character on an autoflower's schedule, which is the trick these things are always chasing.

Nose & flavour

Orange and citrus lead, as the lineage guarantees, but there is diesel sitting alongside them, an odd pairing on paper that works rather well in practice. The fruit stays bright while the fuel note adds a bit of grip underneath, keeping it from reading as merely sweet. Resin-heavy buds carry it loudly enough. Tropical up front, with a sharper edge behind.

The high

The effect is uplifting, happy and energetic, sharp rather than soft, the soaring sativa character keeping the mind clear and the mood bright. This is a pick-me-up rather than a wind-down, an experience that leans into activity. No creeping heaviness, just a clean lift held throughout. Company for a busy afternoon rather than a quiet evening.

Growing it

She stands 100 to 150cm, medium for an autoflower and taller than some, and finishes in 63 to 70 days from seed. Yields come in at 350 to 400 g/m², solid for the type, and the buds arrive resin-drenched. The record frames her as effortless to grow with results approaching photoperiod quality, which is the whole appeal of the exercise. An easy, quick turnaround with flavour and potency intact. Little fuss, and a proper harvest for the patience of a single autoflower run.
