Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Super Silver Haze and OG Kush combine in this award-winning cross, spicy and herbal on the nose with a lemon-lime lift. The high is relaxed and euphoric, opening the mind toward creative and focused territory rather than shutting it down. Dense, resinous flowers need decent ventilation to stay healthy.

Where it comes from

Green House cross Super Silver Haze with OG Kush here, two classics, as the record has it, one all bright Haze energy, the other all Kush weight. Seventy per cent indica, and award-winning by the breeder's account. The Haze lends the lift and the citrus; OG Kush the body and the resin. A balanced marriage of two much-decorated lines, tilted gently toward the indica.

Nose & flavour

Spicy and herbal on the nose, earthy and floral underneath, with a bright lemon-lime lift over the top, the Haze parent making itself known. A lively, citrus-forward profile grounded by something darker. Fresh and characterful. It reads livelier than the indica lean would suggest.

The high

Uplifted and euphoric, focused enough to open the mind toward creative territory rather than closing it down, with a relaxed undertow and an appetite following behind. At close to twenty per cent THC it carries proper substance. A high that expands rather than sedates, unusual for a plant this indica-dominant.

Growing it

She flowers in around sixty-three days, a little over two months, into medium, dense bushes returning up to 800 g/m² indoors, and as much as 1000g per plant outdoors. The compact flowers pack heavy resin, so good ventilation through flower is worth arranging to keep mould at bay. The leaves darken from lush green as she matures. Productive and handsome, provided you keep the air moving. Clean your scissors afterwards.
