Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Hindu Kush crossed with Star Dawg, then folded into a ruderalis line without losing the sativa edge that keeps things interesting. Pine, earth, wood and a nutty pungency on the nose; the effect runs sleepy, relaxed and euphoric, with hunger and a pleasant tingle thrown in. Vigorous and tall for an auto, true to old-school Kush character throughout.

Where it comes from

Herbies took Hindu Kush, crossed it with Star Dawg for a sativa edge, then folded the pair into a ruderalis line to earn the autoflowering habit — and, to their credit, kept that sativa presence rather than losing it in the conversion. The result reads indica-dominant but with a noticeable lift still in play. Old-school Kush character throughout, on a schedule that suits the impatient.

Nose & flavour

The coveted old-school nose: pine, earth and wood, with a nutty pungency underneath and a spicy, herbal edge over the top. Nothing modern or candied about it — this is the smell that made the family's reputation, faithfully carried across into an auto. It does not travel discreetly.

The high

A proper all-rounder — full-body and head at once. It runs sleepy and relaxed, but with euphoria, a pleasant tingle and a reliable interest in the contents of the fridge along the way. Worthy of the classic it descends from, and rather more lively than a straight Kush would manage on its own.

Growing it

Vigorous and tall for an autoflower, reaching roughly 120 to 150cm, so do not assume the auto label means a small plant. Flowering runs 60 to 70 days from the off, with yields around 488 g/m² — generous for the format. Potency is a serious 25%, which for something this hands-off is worth bearing in mind before the first session. A forgiving grow with an old-school payoff, provided you have allowed for the height.
