Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Hash Plant crossed with Northern Lights #1, an heirloom pairing that shows in an effect landing almost entirely in the body — a fair companion for anyone nursing a nagging injury. Sweet, earthy hash notes with a berry edge on the nose; relaxed, cerebral and euphoric before the body takes over. Forty days to flower, and dripping in resin throughout.

Where it comes from

Hash Plant crossed with Northern Lights #1 — a heirloom Sensi pairing, and about as indica as a plant gets at 90%. Both parents are old hashplant-lineage names, which is precisely why the effect and the resin turn out the way they do. Ninety per cent indica leaves little room for ambiguity about her character. A classic cross with nothing modern about it, and no need to be.

Nose & flavour

Sweet and earthy hash notes lead, with a berry edge lifting the top and a citrus freshness the record also flags — the aroma typical of good hash, which is where the name comes from. Rich and resinous. A traditional nose, and a fine one.

The high

Relaxed, cerebral and euphoric before the body takes over — the effect lands almost entirely in the physical, in the settled indica manner. A weighty, whole-body ease rather than a heady one. The sitting-down sort of evening, comfortably so.

Growing it

A remarkably quick finisher at 40 to 45 days — as little as 40 indoors under a 12/12 schedule — and dripping in resin throughout. She stays low outdoors, handy for anyone wanting to keep a plant out of sight, and produces a hefty yield without many seeds sown. THC sits at 19%. The record gives no exact height or yield numbers, so lean on that short, quick, resin-heavy temperament. Clean your scissors after; she will gum them up.
