Green Crack crossed with Purple Punch, marrying the old rebranded classic to something fruitier and rounder. Grape, citrus and blueberry on the nose; the high is relaxed, euphoric and energetic — invigorating enough to keep the day moving without derailing it. Named with the same understatement as its parent, which is to say none at all.
Where it comes from
Royal Queen Seeds crossed Green Crack with Purple Punch for this one, marrying an energising sativa-leaning classic to something fruitier and rounder. The record carries a nice piece of provenance: the Green Crack parent was originally called Cush, or Green Cush, until — legend has it — Snoop Dogg renamed it, having found it rather moreish. Purple Punch adds the colour and the sweetness to that lively base.
Nose & flavour
Grape and blueberry lead, sweet and fruit-forward from the Punch side, with a citrus brightness cutting through from the Green Crack parent. A rounder, juicier nose than Green Crack alone would give — the Purple Punch softening the edges nicely.
The high
Relaxed and euphoric, with an energetic thread keeping it invigorating — a high that lifts and steadies at once, the two parents pulling it toward the middle. At 18% THC it is moderate and good-humoured, the sort that keeps the day moving without derailing it. Sociable, functional company.
