How to grow God's Gift
Taste
Seb's take
Grand Daddy Purps crossed back onto OG Kush as an S1, and the resulting God's Gift lives up to its billing, taking Best Indica at Spain's 2015 Bio Cannabis Cup. Sweet wood and earth linger on the nose; the high is clear and motivational up top, easing into a soothing, transcending body high.
Where it comes from
Grand Daddy Purps crossed back onto OG Kush as an S1, and the resulting God's Gift lives up to its billing: the record credits her as a world champion, Best Indica at Spain's 2015 Bio Cannabis Cup. BC Bud Depot Seeds offer her at 80 per cent indica. Grand Daddy Purps lends the purple heritage and the weight, OG Kush the earthy backbone. A decorated plant, and one that, the record says, is true to the name it was given.
Nose & flavour
Sweet and woody lead the nose, with an earthy base underneath, and the record notes the flavour lingers on the lips and tongue well after the exhale. It is a rich, robust profile rather than a bright one, deep and rounded, the kind that stays with you. The exhale, the record has it, is robust and deep, which is a fair summary of the whole aromatic affair.
The high
A clear and heady lift up top, the record calls it motivational, balanced against a transcending, soothing body high beneath. So the mind is set going while the body is put at ease, a genuine two-part effect rather than a single note held long. Relaxed, happy and euphoric run through it. An agreeable, well-rounded high, and a decorated one at that.
Growing it
Flowering runs 56 to 63 days, a standard nine-week window. Height and yield go unrecorded here, so I will speak to temperament instead: an 80 per cent indica S1 of this pedigree tends toward a compact, resinous plant, but I offer that as inference rather than as fact from the record. THC is recorded at 16 per cent, a gentler figure than many of her shelf-mates, which makes her the more approachable for it. Honest, and easy in the hand.
