How to grow Gelato Glue Autoflower
Taste
Seb's take
Gelato and Original Glue, autoflowered for growers who would rather not commit to a photoperiod relationship. Pine and earth open onto chocolate on the nose; the high is uplifting and happy before settling into relaxation, with none of the fuss its parents are famous for.
Where it comes from
EGS crossed Gelato with GG#4 Original Glue and a Ruderalis here, folding two modern legends together for growers who would rather not commit to a photoperiod relationship. The Gelato lends the dessert character, the Original Glue the resin and the potency, the Ruderalis the clock. The record marks her as indica-dominant, and continues the breeder's tradition of making bestsellers accessible even to first-time growers, generous in the hands of a beginner as much as an expert.
Nose & flavour
Pine leads the nose, resinous and fresh, over an earthy base with a note of chocolate rounding out the finish. The Original Glue parentage shows in that earthy, resinous character, while the chocolate lends a warm, sweeter depth beneath. A well-composed, grounded profile rather than a bright one, the pine and earth doing the work and the chocolate softening the close. The buds carry the same quality as their famous parents.
The high
Uplifting and happy before settling into relaxation, a well-rounded experience that lifts the mood first and eases the body after. It draws the best of both parents, the Gelato's cheer and the Glue's weight, into an even, agreeable arc. A comfortable, balanced high, bright at the start and grounded by the end, with none of the fuss its famous parents are sometimes known for. Amenable company for most of an evening.
Growing it
An autoflower finishing in 56 to 63 days, reaching 150cm, so give her a little headroom for an auto. The yield runs a generous 400 to 600 g/m². At 25% THC she is genuinely potent. The record makes much of how easy she is, growing largely by herself and needing only a basic understanding of cultivation, yet yielding as much as lesser strains do in expert hands. A forgiving, generous plant, well suited to a first-time grower who wants a legend's quality without a legend's demands.
