Seb's take

Seb Silverback

A stabilised autoflower version of Canada's celebrated Grapefruit clone, living up to the name it borrowed. Deep grapefruit and citrus on the nose, with grape and earth beneath, the buds blushing pink and purple as they ripen; the high is euphoric, happy, and settles into a sleepy, relaxed close.

Where it comes from

Next Generation's autoflower take on their own Dynamite, itself a stabilised version of Canada's celebrated Grapefruit clone. The record names Dynamite crossed with an unnamed Ruderalis — I will leave the latter unnamed as they do — and the through-line is that famous Grapefruit heritage, now on an autoflower's schedule. A borrowed name lived up to, twice removed and none the worse for it.

Nose & flavour

Deep grapefruit leads, unmistakable, with citrus and grape alongside and an earthy weight beneath. Sweet and resinous, the buds blushing pink and purple as they ripen — the nose the Grapefruit clone is known for, carried faithfully into autoflower form.

The high

Euphoric and happy first, relaxed throughout, settling into a sleepy, easy close. A dry mouth comes with the territory. A gentle downward arc — cheerful to begin, calm to end — that suits the evening better than the morning.

Growing it

An autoflower finishing in around 50 days, quick and undemanding. The buds deepen to pink and purple as they ripen, a reliable visual cue that she is coming ready. No height or yield figures appear in the record, so I will not supply them — but the format and the pedigree promise a compact, fast, decorative plant. The stabilised Grapefruit genetics do the work; you mostly need to keep out of the way.
