Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Northern Lights crossed with Ruderalis to make a plant hardy enough for Canada, Sweden, or Finland, and named with commendable honesty about its size. Fresh pine and citrus on the nose, with a natural, easy-going high to match. A small strain that asks little and delivers on schedule.

Where it comes from

De Sjamaan crossed Northern Lights with Ruderalis and named the result with commendable honesty about its size. The purpose is hardiness: planted in spring it grows and flowers steadily into early August, and the record notes it holds its own even as far north as Canada, Sweden or Finland — producing similar yields where gentler strains would sulk. Northern Lights for character, Ruderalis for grit and an autoflower's schedule.

Nose & flavour

A fresh pine and citrus taste is the note the record gives, and I will leave the description there rather than dress it up. Clean and green — the kind of straightforward, resinous nose the Northern Lights side tends to lend.

The high

The record calls it a great natural high, easy-going and unforced, and that is as far as I will take it without inventing detail. Nothing demanding — a relaxed, agreeable experience to match a plant that asks little of you in return.

Growing it

A dwarf by name and nature, standing 60 to 100cm and flowering in around 70 days. The yield is a modest 100 g/m², which is the fair trade for a plant this small and this hardy. Her real virtue is resilience: she will grow and crop in the coldest northern latitudes where most would fail, asking little and delivering on schedule. THC is recorded only as high, with no figure attached, so I will state it no more precisely than the record does.
