How to grow Diesel
Taste
Seb's take
Mexican Sativa crossed with Afghan stock, and the name earns its keep — diesel, citrus, and gassy fruit on the nose, unmistakably fuel-adjacent. The high is clear and creative rather than overwhelming, relaxed and uplifting at 12 to 16% THC.
Where it comes from
Dinafem crossed a Mexican Sativa with Afghan stock, and the name earns its keep: the diesel character runs straight through her. The Mexican side lends the bright, energetic head; the Afghan lends the resin and the long, wide leaves. The record notes little phenotypic variance, so she comes true from seed, which is a virtue in a plant meant for daily company. A straightforward, honest fuel strain built on a classic pairing.
Nose & flavour
Diesel front and centre, plainly, with citrus and a gassy edge lifting it and a fruity, earthy base underneath. This is proper fuel, pungent and unmistakable, exactly what the name advertises. A loud, characterful nose that does not travel discreetly. For anyone who likes the smell of a garage, she is a delight.
The high
Clear and creative rather than overwhelming; the record describes lucid, mind-aimed effects that keep you functional. Relaxed and uplifting with an energising edge, and a calming clarity underneath, at a modest 12 to 16 percent THC. A daytime head that lifts without racing, suited to work or conversation. Gentle enough to return to, bright enough to enjoy.
Growing it
A tall plant, up to 300cm, with the structure of a pine tree, which the record notes can be topped to keep her in check. Flowering runs sixty to seventy days, around sixty-five, for 475 g/m². She grows vigorous, resilient and heavy with resin, so save those sugar leaves at trim. Give her the headroom or top her early, and she is otherwise an easy, dependable grow. A big, hardy plant that comes true and asks little.
