How to grow Cookies Kush
Taste
Seb's take
An award-winning cross of Girl Scout Cookies and OG Kush, growing fast to a manageable 90-100cm both indoors and out, with side branches that will want support once the trichomes pile on. Sweet, pungent and earthy on the nose; the high is relaxed, happy and euphoric. Best of both parents, and no half-measures about it.
Where it comes from
Barney's Farm crossed Girl Scout Cookies with OG Kush, taking the flavoursome and potent Cookies and pairing it with the even more potent and resilient Kush, and the award-winning result combines the best of both. Seventy percent indica. With genetics like that, the record suggests, the only outcome was a spectacular strain, and it makes a fair case. A decorated pairing of two of the most reliable names in the book.
Nose & flavour
Sweet and pungent, with an earthy depth grounding it, the Cookies sweetness meeting the heavier Kush funk. It is a rich, full aroma, and the trichome-covered buds carry it heavily. A robust, moreish nose that wears both sides of the parentage plainly, and does not keep quiet about either.
The high
Relaxed, happy and euphoric, a comfortable and well-rounded effect true to the indica majority. The Cookies side keeps it agreeable, the OG Kush lends the weight, and the two arrive in easy company. An unhurried, good-humoured turn suited to the evening more than the morning, and none the worse for it.
Growing it
A feminized plant at 24% THC, with a listed 1.2% CBD. Flowering is prompt at 55 to 60 days, roughly eight weeks. Growing fast and vigorous, she usually holds at 90 to 100cm both indoors and out, manageable and self-contained. She throws many side branches that will want a bit of support in the later stages of flower to handle the weight of trichome-covered bud. Yields are heavy at 650 g/m². Best of both parents, in short, and no half-measures about how she gets there.
