Seb Silverback

Florida Cut OG, also called The Triangle, meets Fire OG in an 85% indica built for the end of the day. Spice, pine and cinnamon on the nose, true to the name; the high is loud enough that lying down soon becomes the sensible option, before sleep follows. Low-maintenance, generous, and the sitting-down sort of strain.

Where it comes from

Humboldt Seeds Organization crossed Florida Cut OG, also known as The Triangle, with Fire OG, landing at 85% indica and firmly in OG territory on both sides. Two OG lines of good standing, then, bred into something built for the quieter end of the day. The name promises a particular flavour, and for once the plant delivers exactly what the label advertises.

Nose & flavour

Spice and pine up front, with a genuine cinnamon note running through, true to the name and unusual for being so literal about it. It is a warm, kitchen-cupboard sort of aroma, more baking spice than fuel, and rather more refined than the average OG cross. The nose alone is worth the seat.

The high

Loud and enveloping, in the record's telling, to the point that lying down soon becomes the sensible course, with sleep following not far behind. Sleepy, relaxed and calming, the full weight of an 85% indica arriving without much ceremony. The sitting-down sort of strain, and then the lying-down sort, in that order.

Growing it

A feminized plant at 21 to 24% THC, with a listed 0.1% CBD. Flowering runs 63 days, roughly nine weeks. Height is where she surprises, 450cm from the record, a genuinely large plant that wants either the outdoors or a very generous ceiling and a firm training hand. She is described as low-maintenance and generous despite the scale, with yields of 400 to 450 g/m². Give her the room she plainly intends to fill, and she asks little else of you.
