Seb's take

Seb Silverback

A Sour Diesel and White Widow cross with a petrol aroma that does not travel discreetly, true to both parents. Easy enough for budding growers and heavy-yielding besides, she rewards whichever training method suits the space — the potency, by all accounts, does not disappoint.

Where it comes from

Kera Seeds crossed Sour Diesel with White Widow, and the petrol on the parent side comes straight down the line, as the breeder cheerfully admits, that fuel aroma is written into the genetics. Sixty-five percent sativa, with the Widow lending frost and the Diesel lending everything else. A pairing of two loud, well-known names, and neither has been persuaded to whisper.

Nose & flavour

Petrol, front and centre, this does not travel discreetly, and the record is candid about it. The Sour Diesel parent is entirely to blame, and the White Widow does nothing to talk it down. A pungent, fuel-forward nose for those who like their cannabis assertive rather than polite.

The high

The particulars are left unrecorded, but the potency is not, considerable, by the breeder's telling, at a solid 19 percent THC. Take it as a strong one and treat it with the respect two parents of that reputation earn. Approach as you would a staircase in the dark until you have its measure.

Growing it

Among the easier varieties to bring in, which makes her a fair choice for a budding grower, the pun, for once, is the breeder's. She flowers in around 63 days, reaches 90 to 120cm, and yields heavily. THC sits at 19 percent. She responds well to training: a Sea of Green for short vegetative runs, or a Screen of Green where there is room to spread. Match the method to the space and she gives back generously.
