How to grow Café Racer
Taste
Seb's take
Skunk, grape and berry on the nose from a Grandaddy Purple and Girl Scout Cookies cross with a Big Bud connection further back for good measure. Seventy percent sativa and multi-Cannabis-Cup-decorated, the effect runs happy, euphoric and creative at a genuinely potent 25% THC.
Where it comes from
Blimburn set Grandaddy Purple against Girl Scout Cookies, with Big Bud sitting further down the line and answering for the generous flower production. Somewhere in that pedigree is a multi-Cannabis-Cup winner too, which the breeder is understandably keen to mention. The purple and the cookie both leave their mark; the result leans hard to the sativa side of the ledger, seventy percent of it, and carries itself accordingly, lean and quick, rather as the name promises.
Nose & flavour
Skunk up front, unmistakable, with grape and berry sweetness folded in behind, the Grandaddy Purple showing its hand. A nose with weight to it, fruit and funk in equal measure, and none of it half-hearted. Assertive rather than shy.
The high
Happy, euphoric and creative, the sativa dominance steering things upward and outward rather than into the armchair. At a genuine 25 percent THC it has the horsepower to back the character, so pace yourself accordingly. Daytime company, and good for it.
Growing it
Sixty to seventy days in flower, reaching a manageable 70 to 100cm, with a yield around 450 g/m². THC is recorded at 25 percent, no small figure, and earned honestly through the pedigree. Seventy percent sativa in a compact frame is an agreeable combination for indoor work: the reach stays sensible while the character stays lively. Give her the light she wants and mind her through a slightly longer bloom, and she pays it back.
