How to grow Bubba Hash
Taste
Seb's take
Earth, diesel and coffee on the nose from two Afghani heavyweights — Bubba Kush and Hash Plant — bred with extraction in mind, and it shows in the trichome coverage. The high is sleepy, relaxed and genuinely medicinal, a 90% indica built for the sitting-down sort of evening.
Where it comes from
Ace Seeds built this one from two of the most famous Afghani names in the book — Bubba Kush, in its Katsu cut, crossed with a Hash Plant from the 1990s. The record calls it a meeting of Afghani heavyweights, and the intent is plain in the name: a plant bred with extraction in mind, throwing large layers of trichomes across every branch. At 90 percent indica it grows into a typical indica structure, which is to say short, dense and well suited to the methods that reward it.
Nose & flavour
Earth, diesel and coffee on the nose, a dark and resinous trio that reads exactly like its Afghani parentage. The trichome coverage the record makes so much of comes with a corresponding depth of aroma — heavy, grounded and faintly bitter, the sort of smell that dresses heavily for the occasion. A profile built for hash-making, and it wears the fact openly.
The high
Sleepy and relaxed, a 90 percent indica settling firmly into the body — the sitting-down sort of evening, and you will not be needed elsewhere. The record describes a superior bud bursting with flavour and aroma, and the effect matches the weight of it. Best kept for the hours when nothing more is asked of you than to remain agreeably where you are.
Growing it
A short flowering period of 8 to 9 weeks, given as 56 to 63 days, with an outdoor harvest arriving at the end of September. The 90 percent indica structure makes her ideal for either sea of green or SCRoG, and the heavy trichome layers make her excellent for extraction. Yields are described as high. Height is not stated, so I shall leave it unstated. Clean your scissors afterwards — she will gum them thoroughly — and dry the trichome-laden flowers with the patience they deserve.
