How to grow Blueberry Hill
Taste
Seb's take
Pungent earth and blueberry on the nose, from a 95% Indica pairing of Blueberry and Afghan that keeps nothing complicated about its intentions. Relaxed, medicinal and happy — the sitting-down sort, built for an evening rather than an afternoon — from a compact plant that yields well beyond her size.
Where it comes from
Herbies built Blueberry Hill from Blueberry and Afghan and let the Indica side run almost unchecked, 95 percent, with only a sliver of anything else. That is about as decisive a lean as breeding produces, and the record does not pretend otherwise: this is a plant with straightforward intentions and no interest in complicating them. Blueberry for the nose, Afghan for the weight, and very little in between. A song title for a name, and an honest one for the effect.
Nose & flavour
Pungent and earthy first, with blueberry lifting behind, a heavier, funkier read on the family fruit than the brighter hybrids offer, which is the Afghan making itself known. The record notes an off-the-charts terpene profile, and the nose bears that out: loud, ripe and grounded. It does not travel discreetly.
The high
At 95 percent Indica and 26 percent THC, the effect is exactly what that arithmetic predicts, deeply relaxed and happy, the sitting-down sort, built for an evening rather than an afternoon. There is no cerebral overture to speak of and none intended; it settles heavily and stays. Pleasant company, provided you have nowhere further to be.
Growing it
Quick and generous for her size: 50 to 55 days in flower, a compact 70 to 120cm frame, and yields of 450 to 650 g/m² that run well beyond what a plant that small ought to manage. The record makes a point of that, bucket-loads of bud from a compact lady, and the tight, heavy Indica structure is what does it. A straightforward, productive grow that keeps its head down and fills the tent.
