This Blackwater, a 90:10 indica cross of Mendo Purps and SFV OG Kush, grows stocky and dark purple beneath a dense frost of resin. Lemon, grape, and berry carry the nose, and the high leans calming and euphoric rather than sedative outright. An easy choice for indoor or outdoor growers alike.
Where it comes from
Blackwater is Original Sensible Seeds' cross of Mendo Purps and SFV OG Kush, a 90 per cent indica that wears its parentage plainly. The Mendo Purps lends the dark purple colouring the record makes much of; the SFV OG the backbone and the resin. A true indica powerhouse, as the record has it, and built to look the part.
Nose & flavour
Lemon leads, with grape and berry giving the nose its fruit, a brighter set of notes than the brooding purple colour might suggest. Fresh over dark, and the better for the contrast. A cheerful aroma from a serious-looking plant.
The high
For a 90 per cent indica the effect is more agreeable than flattening, uplifting and euphoric with a calming undertow rather than a straight sedative. It settles you without switching you off, which is a harder balance to strike than it reads.
