Blueberry crossed with Bomb #1, taking her colour and flavour from one parent and her speed and mould resistance from the other. Sweet, piney, and berry-rich on the nose, with an uplifting, relaxed, happy high that arrives without much of a bang at all.
Where it comes from
A neat division of labour between the parents. From Blueberry come the flavour and the purple bud colouring for which that line is famous; from Bomb #1, the breeder's own stock, come the speed and the mould resistance. Bomb Seeds have effectively taken the best trait from each side and left the rest at the door — looks and taste from one, constitution and pace from the other. An economical bit of breeding.
Nose & flavour
Sweetness leads, unsurprisingly, with the Blueberry heritage pushing a ripe berry note through the middle. Underneath sits a resinous pine edge that keeps the whole thing from tipping into pudding. It is a clean, fruited profile — the sort that reads well fresh from the jar and holds up on the exhale.
The high
The effect is uplifting, relaxed, and happy — a balanced, good-natured lift that arrives without much of a bang for a strain so named. At fifteen to twenty per cent it is honest about what it is: agreeable daytime company that settles gently rather than flattening you. Sociable enough for the afternoon, mild enough not to derail it.
Growing it
Quick to finish — flowering runs anywhere from forty-two to fifty-six days, brisk for a photoperiod plant, and returns a generous 500 to 600 g/m². She reaches a medium ninety to a hundred and forty centimetres, so a little headroom helps but nothing extravagant. The Bomb #1 side lends real mould resistance, which forgives a damp spell or a lapse in airflow. Fast, sturdy, and heavy-handed with the harvest.
