Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Ultimate AK crossed with Ruderalis into a small, single-cola autoflower that tolerates both cold snaps and warm spells without complaint. Ready in around seven weeks indoors, or three months out — quick, forgiving of enthusiasm, and among the better yielders in its class at 300-400g/m². Nothing showy, just reliable.

Where it comes from

Ultimate AK carried onto a ruderalis line, which is Sumo's route to an autoflower that keeps the AK character while answering to nobody's light schedule but its own. The ruderalis brings more than the automatic habit here: it hands the plant a genuine tolerance for both cold snaps and warm spells, the hardiness that makes ruderalis crosses such steady performers in unpredictable rooms. The result is a favourite among Sumo's autoflower customers, and an unpretentious one.

Nose & flavour

No flavour notes are recorded, and I will not supply them from imagination. The record is more interested in temperament than in the nose; this is a plant sold on its manners and its harvest rather than any headline aroma. Take the character as honest and unremarkable until the jar tells you otherwise.

The high

The record logs no effects, and rates the strength as medium, an honest middle, neither a whisper nor a wallop. That reticence is itself a fair guide: a strain pitched at beginners and steady growers is rarely the one that ambushes you. Expect a measured, even experience rather than anything that demands you clear your evening.

Growing it

This is where she makes her case. Like most autoflowers she throws a single dominant cola with a handful of side branches, and stays short, 40 to 70cm, so headroom is never the question. A 20/4 light cycle is the breeder's recommendation for the best of her. Flowering runs to around 84 days, which is patient for an auto, but the reward is one of Sumo's better yields in the class at 300 to 400g/m². Her real virtue is nerve: resistant to cold and heat alike, and forgiving enough of enthusiasm that a first-time grower can bring her home. Nothing showy, simply reliable.
