Seb Silverback

AK-49 crossed onto Lowryder for a shorter plant that keeps the parent's narcotic Sativa character intact. Notably pungent for her size, flowering in as little as eight weeks and shrugging off high humidity better than most. The effect suits either end of the day, depending on tolerance.

Where it comes from

The autoflowering turn on Vision's own AK-49, achieved the usual way: a Lowryder crossed in to hand the plant its own clock. The record is candid that this changes little of the character, the same narcotic sativa lean carrying through from the parent, merely arriving in a smaller package and on a shorter schedule. That AK-49 itself descends from Colombian, Mexican, Thai and Afghani stock, so there is a good deal of landrace history folded quietly into a very modern format.

Nose & flavour

Pungent is the word the record leans on, and it does not undersell it. For a plant this small, the flowers carry a great deal more aroma than her stature would lead you to expect. No specific notes are logged, so I will not assign them, but discretion is plainly not among her virtues.

The high

Narcotic in character, by the record's own account, and at 20% THC it earns the description. This is one to gauge against your own tolerance rather than the clock. Those well acquainted with strong material may take her at either end of the day; the less seasoned would do well to treat her as a staircase in the dark, and mind their footing.

Growing it

An autoflower, and a genuinely quick one, with flowering wrapped in as little as 56 days, or eight weeks in the round. She stays short, around 50cm, and does best under glass or in a mild outdoor spell. Her real merit is temperament: a resistance to high humidity that spares the grower a good deal of anxious inspection. The one honest caveat is the harvest. At 30 to 50g/m², she is a sprinter, not a draught horse; you grow her for the speed and the character, not the weight of the jar.
